Don’t judge me, but before moving to Korea one of my biggest concerns was where the hell I was gonna get my hair done once I actually got here. I even vividly remember making a statement about it to my dad months before my departure, and trust me, he was definitely not amused. When I arrived in Korea, my hair was in serious need of help already, and the lack of clean water here didn’t exactly help. Fortunately for me, a friend was able to recommend Jin of J.P. Hair in Noksapeyong.

I’m generally really picky when it comes to my hair, and I’ve also been lucky enough to sit in the chairs of some of the best stylists in Southern California. So when I say Jin is a master hair stylist, I really mean it. I’ve never walked out of his place unsatisfied and trust him completely. He’s very comfortable with foreigners and knows how to do blonde!!!!! Before I found Jin, I went to another salon where I was over-charged and came out having white hair…yeah…definitely not my best moment.

But Jin never goes too light or too dark, he’s always on-point and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. The last time I went he suggested getting layers to create more volume, as my hair is really thin. I’m not a big fan of layers but I figured I had nothing to lose. My hair is so much thicker and actually looks longer now, YAS!!!!

I had extensions in my hair for over 2 years, and since taking them out, I’ve been super self-conscious about it. Now, I actually feel more comfortable not having them in and love the way I look!

I couldn’t recommend this place more!

  1. I agree! Jin is talented, confident, easy to talk to. He loves what he does and you’ll have 100% of his attention. He’s also very creative with hairstyles for the many balls and galas around town.

    • Thank you so much for your comment Robbie and I’m glad you agree! Everything you said about Jin is true. I love the atmosphere there so much, I sometimes just want to go and hang out even when I don’t need my hair done!
